Marketing Ops Manager at WorkWave - Remote USA — Columbus
Traveler-Friendly Insight
Remote-First, but US-Focused: WorkWave explicitly positions itself as a "remote-first Global Work Community" with employees in over 30 US states and 7 countries. However, the role is listed for the USA, and the core integrations (Salesforce, Pardot, GA4) heavily suggest collaboration with US-based Sales and Revenue Operations teams — meaning practical timezone overlap with US Eastern or Central hours is likely expected.
Async-Friendliness: The role involves significant individual-contributor, heads-down systems administration work (audits, data hygiene, platform configuration) that is naturally async-compatible. However, cross-functional responsibilities with Sales and IT suggest some synchronous meetings during standard US business hours are unavoidable.
Visa & Location Considerations: The job is US-based. International nomads would need existing US work authorization. If you're a US citizen or green card holder traveling abroad, this remote role could technically be performed from abroad, though tax and compliance implications should be verified with WorkWave's HR team directly.
Nomad Lifestyle Fit: No salary range is disclosed, making cost-of-living comparisons difficult. For reference, a Marketing Ops Manager in the US typically earns $90K–$130K annually — a strong income for destinations like:
- Lisbon, Portugal: Comfortable lifestyle for ~$2,500–$3,500/month
- Bangkok, Thailand: Very comfortable for ~$1,800–$2,500/month
- Medellín, Colombia: Excellent quality of life for ~$1,500–$2,200/month
No explicit equipment stipend or coworking allowance is mentioned, so clarify these during the interview process.
We are looking for a Marketing Operations Manager who brings strong operational instincts and the technical know-how to back them up. This is a hands-on role centered on running the day-to-day systems, processes, and workflows that keep our marketing engine running — with the ability to roll up your sleeves and configure, implement, and troubleshoot the tools that support it.
You will be the go-to person for our marketing tech stack — including Pardot, Google Analytics 4, and 6sense — and will work closely with Marketing, Sales, and Revenue Operations to ensure our processes are efficient, our data is reliable, and our programs are executing without friction.
As AI continues to reshape how marketing teams operate, you will also play an active role in identifying, testing, and operationalizing AI-powered workflows that improve efficiency and output. This role requires someone who is genuinely comfortable with ambiguity — a creative problem solver who can move forward without having all the answers and adapt quickly as priorities and tools evolve.
What You'll Do:- Serve as the day-to-day administrator for core marketing platforms — Pardot (Marketing Cloud Account Engagement), Webflow, Google Analytics 4, 6sense, ZoomInfo, and DataGroomr — ensuring each is properly configured, maintained, and performing as expected.
- Implement and maintain Pardot automation rules, lead scoring and grading frameworks.
- Manage ZoomInfo integration with Pardot and Salesforce, supporting data imports and ensuring contact and account data flows correctly across systems.
- Configure and maintain GA4 data streams, event tracking, custom dimensions, conversion goals, and attribution reporting.
- Build and maintain Pardot assets including forms, automation rules, email templates, and dynamic lists.
- Manage data import needs, deduplication, and contact record hygiene.
- Support the evaluation and onboarding of new marketing tools; maintain platform documentation and assist with vendor coordination.
- Maintain Salesforce integration across marketing platforms, ensuring data flows, field mapping, and sync processes are accurate and reliable; conduct daily review of Pardot/Salesforce sync errors and resolve or escalate issues promptly.
- Enforce lead tracking standards across all digital channels, ensuring UTM parameter consistency, source attribution accuracy, and full funnel visibility.
- Identify and resolve data quality issues including duplicate records, missing fields, and sync errors between Pardot and Salesforce.
- Monitor lead flow and funnel metrics, flagging anomalies and working cross-functionally to resolve gaps in tracking or conversion rates.
- Own data privacy compliance operations including GDPR/CCPA removal requests.
- Perform monthly database health checks including deduplication scans, removal of spam/test records, and overall list hygiene to maintain data quality.
- Support ad hoc list and segmentation builds in Salesforce and Pardot for campaign audiences.
- Conduct regular audits of tracking implementations, tag configurations, and data flows to ensure reporting accuracy.
- Help lead the identification, evaluation, and implementation of AI-powered workflows that improve marketing operations — from content production and campaign execution to data enrichment and reporting automation.
- Document and maintain AI workflow processes so the broader team can consistently leverage and build on them.
- Serve as the primary marketing systems expert and point of contact for Sales, IT, and Revenue Operations teams.
- Manage vendor relationships, renewals, and license governance across the marketing tech portfolio.
Experience & Technical Skills
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Marketing Operations, Revenue Operations, or a Demand Generation role in a B2B environment.
- Strong proficiency with the core technical ecosystem:
- Pardot (Salesforce Marketing Cloud Account Engagement)
- Salesforce CRM (marketing data flows, campaign tracking, and lead/contact management)
- Google Analytics 4 (GA4) & Tag Management Systems
- 6sense (or comparable ABM/intent data platforms)
- ZoomInfo (or comparable data enrichment tools and their integration with CRM/MAP systems)
- Proven experience managing lead scoring, grading, routing, and data hygiene frameworks.
- Familiarity with building, documenting, and implementing modern AI-driven marketing workflows.
Certifications (Preferred)
- Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud Account Engagement (Pardot) Specialist or Consultant.
- Google Analytics 4 Certification.
Key Mindset & Soft Skills:
- Highly Adaptable: Comfortable operating in a fast-changing environment where priorities shift and not every process is fully defined.
- Self-Directed Problem Solver: Thrives as an individual contributor, taking full ownership of projects from concept through resolution.
- Detail-Oriented & Analytical: Relentless about data accuracy, system hygiene, and thorough documentation.
- Translational Communicator: Able to translate complex technical architectures into actionable operational steps for cross-functional partners.
