Traveler-Friendly Insight

This role is officially remote within the United States, which means you must be a U.S.-based worker — international digital nomads or travelers on tourist visas will not qualify. The "travel to events required" clause is an important caveat: you will regularly attend trade shows, summits, and corporate events in person across the U.S., so a fully location-independent nomadic lifestyle is not feasible here.

Schedule flexibility: Event management inherently involves time-sensitive logistics, vendor calls, and stakeholder coordination, which typically means alignment with U.S. business hours (ET/PT). The role is unlikely to be fully async-friendly, especially around event execution periods.

Practical nomad assessment: If you're a U.S. citizen or permanent resident who enjoys a domestic nomad lifestyle — moving between U.S. cities — this could work well between event cycles. However, frequent travel to events means you need reliable luggage and accommodation logistics.

  • Lisbon: At $85K–$119K USD, you'd live very comfortably, but the role restricts you to U.S. residency.
  • Bangkok / Medellín: Same issue — U.S.-only restriction makes these destinations incompatible with this role's requirements.

The home office stipend and flexible PTO are genuine perks for remote U.S.-based workers. If you want a truly location-independent remote role, look for positions that explicitly allow international hiring or do not require in-person event attendance.
