Traveler-Friendly Insight

This File Clerk role at Sneed & Mitchell presents some complexity for digital nomads and remote workers. The job description mentions both physical and digital file management, including organizing physical documents, scanning, and assisting with court-related file preparation — tasks that strongly imply an on-site or hybrid presence rather than a fully location-independent setup.

The location hint points to the Philippines, suggesting this may be a remote offshore support role servicing a U.S.-based law firm. If that's the case, workers would likely need to align with U.S. time zones (CST or EST), meaning early morning to afternoon shifts in Philippine time — manageable from Manila, Cebu, or Davao without disrupting a typical local schedule.

For nomads based in Southeast Asia, this role could work well from:

  • Manila or Cebu, Philippines — low cost of living (~$600–$900/month for a comfortable lifestyle), strong English-speaking workforce, and good internet infrastructure.
  • Chiang Mai, Thailand — popular nomad hub, but timezone is only 1 hour behind PH, so U.S. hours would still apply.

Key concerns: No salary is disclosed, no mention of equipment stipends or coworking allowances, and the E-Verify notice is U.S.-specific, suggesting the intended hire may need to be a U.S.-authorized worker or a contractor outside the E-Verify framework. Clarify employment structure before applying.
