Traveler-Friendly Insight

Location Restrictions Are Significant: This role is restricted to residents of four US Pacific Time Zone states — California, Nevada, Oregon, and Washington. This effectively rules out most digital nomad arrangements abroad, as candidates must be based in a US entity in one of these states.

Timezone & Schedule: The Pacific Time Zone requirement signals that core working hours will likely be PT-aligned. While the role is remote-first, compliance-driven deadlines (quarterly close cycles, audit timelines) mean the schedule has structured, non-negotiable peaks — not ideal for fully async or time-shifted work styles.

Quarterly Travel Commitment: Employees are expected to attend in-person gatherings at least once per quarter, with hubs in Redwood City, Los Angeles, and New York. Budget for at least 4 domestic trips per year — a manageable but real constraint for nomads.

Salary vs. Cost of Living: At $113K–$159K annually, this compensation is strong within the US. However, since residency must be in a PT-state, remote-from-abroad arrangements are not viable. For context, this salary would fund a very comfortable lifestyle in Lisbon (~$2,500/mo) or Bangkok (~$1,800/mo) — but the role doesn't permit working from those locations.

Bottom Line: This is a US-resident-only remote role, not location-independent in the true nomad sense. Look for roles explicitly listing global or worldwide eligibility if international remote work is your goal.
