Traveler-Friendly Insight

This role is fully remote and open to anyone based in the US or Canada, which offers meaningful flexibility for location-independent professionals — with an important caveat: it is a structured 40-hour/week full-time position with tutoring sessions scheduled around student availability, including weekday afternoons, evenings, and weekends.

Timezone considerations: Students are predominantly based in the US, so tutors must be available during North American time windows (roughly ET to PT). This limits true nomadic flexibility — you'd need to be in a timezone that overlaps with US afternoons and evenings, ruling out most of Asia, Europe, and Africa for sustained travel.

Practical nomad destinations compatible with this schedule:

  • Mexico City or Medellín: CT/ET-adjacent timezones make student scheduling seamless, and cost of living is significantly lower than the US — stretching your salary considerably.
  • Lisbon or the Canary Islands: Would require late-night availability (10 PM–2 AM local time for US student sessions) — feasible short-term but taxing long-term.

There is no mentioned equipment stipend, coworking budget, or travel allowance. The role requires a reliable internet connection and a quiet professional environment for live tutoring. For location-flexible workers, Mexico, Colombia, or Canadian cities with lower cost of living are the most practical bases.
