Remote Retention Analyst at Capgemini - Mexico — Columbus
Traveler-Friendly Insight
This role is based in México and offers flexible work arrangements (remote and/or office-based), making it potentially compatible with a location-flexible lifestyle — though candidates must be Mexico-based, which limits true nomadic freedom to within the country.
The posting does not specify fixed hours or a strict timezone requirement, and the nature of the work (data analytics, monthly reporting, Power BI dashboards) is largely async-friendly. However, because the client is a major U.S. insurer, expect some overlap with U.S. business hours (Central or Eastern time), likely 9am–2pm CST at minimum.
Visa considerations: This role is explicitly located in Mexico. Non-Mexican nationals interested in this position should look into Mexico's Temporary Resident Visa (for stays beyond 180 days) or the standard tourist/visitor permit for shorter stays. Mexico does not yet have a formal digital nomad visa, but the tourist permit allows up to 180 days and remote work for foreign employers is widely practiced.
Cost of living context (no salary disclosed):
- Mexico City / CDMX: A comfortable lifestyle runs ~$1,200–$2,000/month — a likely base city for this role given Capgemini's presence there.
- Guadalajara or Monterrey: Slightly lower COL with strong tech communities, also viable options.
Travel-relevant perks are not explicitly mentioned (no coworking or equipment stipend listed), but the hybrid flexibility is a plus for those who prefer alternating remote and in-office work within Mexico.
