Engineering Manager at RevenueCat - Remote EMEA/LATAM — Columbus
Traveler-Friendly Insight
Remote-First, but Timezone-Anchored: RevenueCat is genuinely remote-first with 150+ people across 25+ countries, which is a strong signal for location independence. However, this specific role (RC Capital) explicitly requires overlap across US and European time zones. That means you'll need to be available roughly during a UTC-8 to UTC+2 window — limiting truly nomadic flexibility to the Americas, Europe, and parts of Africa.
Visa & Location Considerations: The allowed regions (USA, Canada, EMEA, LATAM) open a wide range of visa pathways. Popular options include:
- Portugal: Digital Nomad Visa (D8) — ideal if you want EU access with low cost of living (~$2,000–2,500/mo in Lisbon)
- Colombia (Medellín): Tourist visa for stays up to 180 days/year — low cost (~$1,200–1,800/mo), excellent nomad infrastructure, and within US timezone overlap
- Mexico (Mexico City / Oaxaca): Temporary Resident visa or tourist stays — great US timezone alignment and costs of $1,500–2,000/mo
Travel-Relevant Perks: The $2,000 workspace setup stipend is useful for equipping a mobile office (monitors, peripherals, ergonomic gear). The $1,000 annual learning budget can fund fintech or cloud certifications. The 4–5 week suggested PTO gives meaningful travel windows.
Bottom Line: This role suits nomads who can anchor 4–6 hours of their day to overlap US-EU hours. Medellín or Mexico City are the sweet spots for timezone + cost of living optimization.
RevenueCat removes the headaches of building and scaling in-app subscriptions. Since graduating from YC's S18 batch we've grown into the default monetization platform for mobile: we're in >40% of newly shipped subscription apps, we process $12B+ in annual purchase volume, and we help everyone from a solo dev in Brazil to the OpenAI mobile team understand and grow their revenue.
We're a remote-first crew of 150+, spread across 25+ countries, and guided by values we actually practice: Customer Obsession, Always Be Shipping, Own It, and Balance. If you want your work to touch hundreds of millions of end-users (and help the developers behind them get paid), you'll fit right in.
The Role
We're looking for an Engineering Manager to lead engineering for RC Capital — a zero-to-one team on the ground floor of a brand-new business line. You'll help design, build, ship, and support the infrastructure behind Early Payouts and whatever we build next: underwriting and risk monitoring, money movement and reconciliation, partner bank integrations, and fraud detection.
This role blends the technical depth of our core Engineering Manager bar with direct exposure to financial products — factoring, underwriting, risk, banking integrations — so a background in fintech, financial services, or a related regulated/risk-sensitive domain is essential.
Please note: although we're fully remote, this team is based across US and European time zones, so there's some expectation of overlap in working hours.
