Remote Customer Support at SeatGeek - Philippines — Columbus
Traveler-Friendly Insight
This role is remote but not location-flexible — it is explicitly restricted to the Philippines. If you are a Filipino digital nomad currently based in the country, this could work well as a stable income base, but traveling abroad while holding this position would be problematic due to strict schedule adherence requirements and workspace/security standards.
Schedule constraints are significant: The required hours are 8AM–5PM EST, which translates to 8PM–5AM Philippine time (UTC+8). This graveyard shift is non-negotiable and rules out co-working cafes or casual travel setups — you need a quiet, secure, private workspace every night.
Salary context: At $700/month (~₱39,000–₱40,000), this is competitive for a remote customer support role within the Philippines. For comparison:
- Metro Manila: $700/month covers comfortable living outside the city center — rent for a 1BR averages $300–$400.
- Cebu or Davao: $700/month goes further — lower rent ($200–$300/month) and cheaper food costs make this a solid income in provincial cities.
- Bohol or Siargao: Possible if internet reliability can be guaranteed, but the backup connection requirement adds complexity.
There is no travel stipend or coworking allowance mentioned. Equipment is provided post-training, which reduces upfront costs. This role suits Philippines-based remote workers seeking stable USD income, not active travelers.
Location: Remote – Philippines
Working hours: 8AM - 5PM EST
Working days: 5 working days per week with 2 consecutive days off
Compensation: $700 per month
