Traveler-Friendly Insight

This role is fully remote within the United States, which means it is open to US-based digital nomads — but with significant location and schedule constraints that travelers should be aware of before applying.

Timezone constraint: The contact center operates Monday–Friday 7:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m. Eastern Time, plus Saturdays 8:45 a.m.–5:15 p.m. ET. You must be available for assigned shifts within this window, making it difficult to base yourself in time zones far from the US East Coast (e.g., Southeast Asia or Europe) without significant lifestyle compromises.

Location restriction: The posting explicitly requires US-based employment and references state-specific pay laws (Colorado, California, New York, Washington). This rules out most international nomad destinations under a standard employment arrangement.

  • Best-fit nomad scenarios: Traveling within the US (e.g., between cities or states) is fully viable, as long as you maintain reliable internet — which is your own responsibility per the job requirements.
  • Salary context: At $18–$22/hour (~$37,440–$45,760/year), purchasing power is modest in high-cost US cities, but comfortable in lower-cost states like New Mexico, Tennessee, or the Carolinas — popular domestic nomad bases.
  • Equipment perk: Pearson supplies hardware, reducing your gear overhead on the road.

If you're seeking a fully location-independent role with international flexibility, this position is not ideal. Look for async-first roles without fixed shift windows instead.
