Account Executive at Alma - Hybrid Remote Milan — Columbus
Traveler-Friendly Insight
This role is primarily office-based in Milan, with a 3-days-in-office / 2-days-from-home hybrid policy. It is not compatible with a fully location-independent or nomadic lifestyle. Occasional travel to Paris is also expected. This is a permanent contract tied to the Italian market, requiring a stable, consistent presence in Milan.
For digital nomads or remote-first workers, this role is not suitable. The position requires client-facing activities, in-person networking at Italian industry events, and close collaboration with a local Milan-based team of 10.
However, if you are a digital nomad considering settling in Milan, here's what the salary looks like in context:
- Milan: A salary of €68K–€86K is comfortable for Milan living costs (~€2,000–€2,500/month for a one-bedroom apartment in the city center), making this a livable mid-senior package in one of Italy's most expensive cities.
- Lisbon: The same salary would go considerably further (~€1,200–€1,600/month rent), but relocation isn't an option for this role.
- Remote perks: The 2 WFH days per week do offer some schedule flexibility, and meal vouchers (€231/month) and sport reimbursement (€50/month) add tangible lifestyle value.
If you are seeking a fully remote or travel-friendly role in fintech sales, look instead for fully distributed BNPL or SaaS companies explicitly hiring across the EU with async-first cultures.
