Remote Translation PM at M3 MED PLANET - Contract — Columbus
Traveler-Friendly Insight
This role is tagged #LI-Remote and is structured as an independent contractor position, making it well-suited to digital nomads and location-independent workers. The nature of translation project management — coordinating schedules, communicating with clients, and managing documentation — is largely asynchronous and output-driven, though some overlap with European business hours (CET) is likely given the Lyon-based parent company, MED PLANET.
Timezone considerations: Expect occasional synchronous meetings with a France-based team. CET (UTC+1/+2) overlap is important. Nomads in Lisbon (WET/WEST) or Eastern Europe will have near-perfect timezone alignment. Those in Southeast Asia (Bangkok, Bali) may face early-morning calls.
Visa & location: The location hint points to Brazil, and no country restrictions are stated. As a contractor, you hold responsibility for your own tax and legal compliance. Brazil-based workers could operate locally; those elsewhere should verify local contractor regulations.
- Lisbon, Portugal: Monthly costs ~€1,500–2,000; Portugal's Digital Nomad Visa fits this contractor profile.
- Bangkok, Thailand: ~$1,000–1,500/month; LTR Visa or tourist visa with border runs are common options.
- Medellín, Colombia: ~$1,000–1,400/month; Colombia's digital nomad visa allows up to 2 years.
No travel-specific perks (stipends, coworking allowances) are mentioned in the posting.
