Remote B2B Sales Hunter at Staples - SF Bay Area — Columbus
Traveler-Friendly Insight
This role is labeled remote, but it comes with a significant geographic constraint: you must live within or adjacent to the San Francisco, CA region. Daily face-to-face prospect meetings are explicitly required, making this position unsuitable for full-time digital nomads or location-independent workers.
The role is not async-friendly. It demands daily outbound calling, in-person appointments, and real-time team collaboration — all anchored to Pacific Time (PT). You would need a stable, professional home-office setup and reliable high-speed internet for video sales calls and CRM work.
For aspiring nomads considering this role: This is not a viable option for travel while working. The expectation of regional physical presence and face-to-face selling disqualifies it from a location-independent lifestyle. Even weekend travel would be limited given the structured weekly appointment targets.
- Visa angle: Applicants must be US-based and within the SF Bay Area — no digital nomad visa pathway applies here.
- Perks relevant to location: Employee discounts and wellness programs are standard corporate benefits, with no coworking stipend or travel budget mentioned.
If you're seeking a truly remote, location-flexible B2B sales role, look for positions explicitly labeling themselves as "national remote" with no regional territory requirement and no in-person meeting expectations.
