Sr. Sales Enablement Manager at Rubrik - Remote US — Columbus
Traveler-Friendly Insight
This role at Rubrik is listed as US-based remote eligible (the "US2" tier covers all non-major-metro US offices/remote), which opens the door for location-flexible work within the United States. However, there are meaningful constraints to consider for a nomadic lifestyle.
- Timezone flexibility: The job involves hosting live training sessions, running cross-functional cadences, and partnering with sales teams — these are likely US business hours-dependent. Expect core hours of roughly 9am–5pm PT/ET, making deep time-zone offsets impractical.
- Travel required: The role explicitly requires occasional travel for events like SKO, onboarding sessions, and offsites. This suits a nomad base in the US but complicates sustained overseas stays.
- Visa considerations: Since allowed countries are US-only, international digital nomad visas (e.g., Portugal's D8, Thailand's LTR) would not align with this role's employment structure unless you're a US citizen maintaining US tax residency.
Salary vs. nomad cost of living: The $160K–$200K USD range is generous. In Lisbon, you could live comfortably on ~$3,000/month; in Bangkok, ~$2,000/month; in Medellín, ~$1,800/month — leaving substantial savings potential if you travel during PTO. That said, US remote roles typically require you to maintain a US address and comply with state tax laws.
Bottom line: this is a US-remote role with live collaboration requirements — best suited for a domestic nomad or someone with a US base who travels internationally on personal time.
