Remote SEO Specialist II at Cox Automotive - USA — Columbus
Traveler-Friendly Insight
Remote Flexibility: This role is fully remote within the USA, meaning you must be a US-based worker with existing work authorization. There is no visa sponsorship available, so international digital nomads or travelers on tourist/nomad visas cannot legally take this role. It is strictly limited to US residents authorized to work for any US employer.
Schedule & Async Potential: The work shift is listed as "Variable," which hints at some scheduling flexibility. However, the role requires participation in monthly client calls and on-demand client support, meaning you'll need to be available during typical US business hours. This is not a fully async role — real-time communication with clients and internal teams is a core requirement.
Cost of Living vs. Salary: At $22–$33/hour, annualized this equals roughly $45,760–$68,640. For a US-based nomad, this comfortably supports life in lower-cost US states (e.g., rural areas or the Midwest). However, since this role requires US work authorization and likely US-based operations, international nomad hubs like Lisbon, Bangkok, or Medellín are not viable destinations while employed here.
Travel Perks: No travel is required (explicitly stated as 0% travel), and no coworking stipend or equipment allowance is mentioned. Digital nomads who are US-authorized and prefer working from home across different US states will find this role workable for domestic slow travel.
- Best fit for: US-authorized workers who want full remote flexibility within the US
- Not suitable for: International nomads, visa holders, or those seeking location-independent work abroad
