Traveler-Friendly Insight

This role is listed as remote, based in South Korea, which means Zscaler expects you to be resident in South Korea — not location-independent across multiple countries. While the work itself (demos, video calls, technical documentation) is inherently digitally deliverable, the enterprise sales nature of the role means you'll need to be available during Korea Standard Time (KST, UTC+9) to meet with customers and attend internal calls.

For digital nomads, this creates a significant constraint: traveling to destinations with large time-zone differences (e.g., Lisbon UTC+1, Medellín UTC-5, or Bangkok UTC+7) would make customer-facing commitments extremely difficult. Bangkok (UTC+7) is the most compatible nomad hub — only 2 hours behind KST — and offers a very low cost of living relative to Seoul. However, working legally in Thailand on a tourist or destination-Thailand visa still carries compliance risk for an employee contract tied to South Korea.

  • Visa consideration: South Korea does not yet have a dedicated digital nomad visa. If you are a non-Korean national, you would typically require an E-7 (specialty occupation) or a company-sponsored work visa to be legally employed there.
  • Travel flexibility: Short regional hops within Asia (Japan, Taiwan, Singapore) are more feasible given the time-zone alignment, but always verify employment contract residency clauses.
  • No explicit coworking or travel stipend is mentioned in the benefits — budget for your own workspace setup.

This role suits someone settled in South Korea who wants remote flexibility within the country, rather than a globally mobile nomad lifestyle.
