Senior QA Engineer at Bloomreach - Remote Prague — Columbus

This role is based in Prague, Czechia with an explicit preference for in-person collaboration at the office. While Bloomreach operates a Remote First policy company-wide, the Personify team specifically seeks someone who enjoys working from the Prague office regularly — making this a hybrid role with a strong office expectation, not a fully remote position.
For digital nomads, this means Prague must be your base. That said, Prague is an excellent nomad-friendly city: high-speed internet, abundant coworking spaces (e.g., Node5, Opero), and a cost of living significantly lower than Western European capitals. The salary range of 1,130,000–1,410,000 CZK/year (~€46,000–€57,500 EUR) is comfortable for Prague living.
- Prague: Rent ~€700–1,000/month for a 1-bed; total monthly cost ~€1,500–2,000. This salary affords a very comfortable lifestyle.
- Lisbon: Not applicable — the role requires Prague presence.
- Remote flexibility: Bloomreach's flexible hours policy and virtual-first culture mean you may have some WFH days, but extended remote travel is unlikely to be compatible with team expectations.
EU/EEA citizens can work in Czechia without a visa. Non-EU candidates would need a Czech work permit or EU Blue Card. The company's global hub structure and company events do offer occasional travel perks for those who value team meetups.

About Your Role and the Team
Loomi for Shopify is a new Bloomreach product designed to integrate all existing Bloomreach offerings with Shopify, the largest e-commerce platform, to deliver a personalized shopping experience. Key features include Out-of-the-Box Widgets (pre-built components customers can readily use) and Data Pipelines (functionality to source data directly from Shopify into Bloomreach).

We are looking for someone who enjoys in-person collaboration as much as we do and who would be joining us in the office, while still being able to benefit from Bloomreach's Remote First policy.

In this role, you will:
- Be the first QA on the team
- Join a highly collaborative and agile team that enjoys working and having fun together
- Collaborate with PM, Design, and QAs from other teams
- Own the team's testing strategy
- Automate tests extensively and test manually where needed
- Apply AI tools in your workflow
- Contribute to technical design decisions
- Review code

About the Candidate
Must have:
- Past experience with QA Automation roles
- Professional experience building test plans
- Professional experience with test automation of FE and BE applications
- Professional experience with Playwright or Cypress
- Strong team player who always supports fellow teammates
Should have:
- Experience building and owning a test strategy
- Ability to adopt new AI ways of working and testing
- Experience extending CI/CD pipelines with automated gates
- Experience writing unit and integration tests
- Ability to conduct reviews and provide constructive feedback
Nice to have:
- Experience with GitLab, Jest, and BrowserStack
- Experience with IaC and Kubernetes
- Experience with the Shopify ecosystem
- Experience with the e-commerce ecosystem
Base Salary Range: 1,130,000 Kč – 1,410,000 Kč CZK annually
