Remote Product Manager - Measurement at StackAdapt — Columbus
Traveler-Friendly Insight
Remote-First with US/Canada Restriction: StackAdapt explicitly states this role is open to candidates "anywhere in the US and Canada" — so while it's fully remote, you must be based in North America. This limits classic nomad flexibility; working from Southeast Asia or Europe long-term on a tourist visa while receiving a US/Canadian paycheck creates legal and tax complications.
Timezone Considerations: The role involves daily collaboration with engineers, designers, QA, and cross-functional revenue teams. While no fixed hours are stated, heavy sync collaboration typically implies alignment with North American business hours (ET/PT overlap). Nomads in Western Europe (e.g., Lisbon, UTC+1) could manage morning overlap, but Asia-Pacific time zones would be challenging for sustained synchronous work.
Practical Nomad Options:
- Portugal/Lisbon: Digital nomad visa available for non-EU workers. Morning meetings (ET afternoons = Lisbon evenings) are feasible short-term, but a 5-hour gap may strain daily standups.
- Mexico/Medellín: Both overlap well with ET/CT; Colombia's digital nomad visa allows stays up to 2 years. Mexico's Temporary Resident visa is also accessible.
- Canada: If already authorized to work in Canada, cities like Toronto or Vancouver provide flexibility with no visa friction.
Travel Perks: Work-from-home reimbursements and optional WeWork global membership are notable — the WeWork perk is especially useful for nomads needing coworking access in cities worldwide.
