Traveler-Friendly Insight

Contract Duration & Remote Setup: This is a fully remote, 2–3 month contract role open to anyone based in Latin America. With only a laptop and reliable internet required, it's well-suited for digital nomads already traveling within LATAM or those who want to use this contract as a launchpad for nomadic life.

Schedule Flexibility: Truelogic emphasizes results over clock-watching, suggesting a largely async-friendly culture. However, since the client is a U.S.-based creative agency, expect some overlap with U.S. Eastern or Central time zones for syncs and presentations — typically a 1–3 hour daily overlap window, which is manageable from most LATAM cities.

Visa Considerations: Because the role requires LATAM residency, digital nomad visas aren't the primary pathway here — most candidates will work from their home country. That said, Colombia (Medellín), Mexico (Mexico City, Oaxaca), and Argentina (Buenos Aires) are popular nomad hubs within the allowed region.

Cost-of-Living Stretch: USD pay in LATAM goes far. In Medellín, Colombia, a comfortable monthly budget runs ~$1,200–$1,800 USD. In Buenos Aires, Argentina, USD earnings provide exceptional purchasing power given current exchange rates. In Mexico City, expect ~$1,500–$2,200/month for a comfortable lifestyle. A competitive USD contract rate here could easily cover 3–6 months of travel costs post-engagement.

Travel Perks: No specific coworking stipend or travel budget is mentioned, so budget for your own coworking costs (~$100–$200/month in most LATAM cities).

This role combines strong motion craft with visual design, requiring someone who can take creative concepts and turn them into compelling animations and video assets while maintaining a high level of visual and brand consistency.

The ideal candidate has a strong point of view on motion design, a refined visual sensibility, and the ability to work independently from concept through final delivery. You will collaborate with designers, creatives, and other partners to develop work that is both visually strong and effective across different digital formats.

Note: This is a short-term commitment — 2 to 3 months.

Responsibilities

  • Create 2D motion design and animation for social media, digital advertising, video, banners, UI elements, and interactive experiences.
  • Edit video and combine animation, sound, music, and visual elements into polished creative deliverables.
  • Develop motion concepts and translate creative ideas into engaging visual experiences.
  • Animate and adapt existing creative assets while maintaining established brand guidelines and visual consistency.
  • Work across projects from concept and exploration through final production and delivery.
  • Apply motion principles thoughtfully across web, mobile web, mobile applications, interactive experiences, and other digital environments.
  • Solve visual and motion challenges end to end, including adapting creative systems across different formats and platforms.
  • Collaborate with designers, creative teams, and stakeholders to refine ideas and improve the final work.
  • Present work clearly, explaining creative and design decisions in relation to the brief and objectives.
  • Incorporate feedback effectively while maintaining the quality and intent of the work.
  • Manage multiple deliverables and priorities while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced creative environment.
  • Stay current with evolving motion design practices, tools, and creative approaches.

  • Experience working with existing creative assets and adapting them for different formats while maintaining visual and brand consistency.
  • Experience combining motion, video, sound, and music into cohesive creative deliverables.
  • Ability to work independently, make informed creative decisions, and execute projects with limited direction.
  • Strong understanding of how motion and visual design translate across web, mobile web, mobile applications, interactive experiences, and other digital environments.
  • Ability to approach visual problems holistically and develop scalable motion or design systems when needed.
