Senior Full-Stack Elixir/React Role - Remote LATAM — Columbus
Traveler-Friendly Insight
Remote-Friendly Reality: This role is explicitly 100% remote with results-based autonomy — no clock-watching, no fixed schedule requirements stated. That's a strong signal for async-friendly work, though collaboration with U.S.-based clients likely means some overlap with Eastern or Central time zones (roughly 9am–6pm ET). LATAM-based nomads are well-positioned here.
Location Constraint: You must be based in Latin America — this is a hard requirement, not just a preference. This limits true nomad freedom to LATAM countries only. Popular nomad hubs within this zone include:
- Medellín, Colombia — cost of living ~$1,200–1,800/mo; thriving tech community, fast fiber internet, digital nomad visa available (up to 2 years).
- Mexico City, Mexico — cost ~$1,500–2,200/mo; Temporary Resident visa is accessible for remote workers earning abroad.
- Buenos Aires, Argentina — cost ~$800–1,400/mo (very affordable given peso dynamics); strong developer community.
Visa Consideration: Since Truelogic is a nearshore staffing firm, you'd likely be contracted as an independent professional, simplifying cross-border work arrangements. No travel perks or coworking stipends are explicitly mentioned, but the USD pay significantly boosts purchasing power across LATAM markets.
Bottom Line: Strong nomad-compatible role if you stay within LATAM borders. The autonomy and USD compensation make it ideal for slow-traveling within the region.
