Traveler-Friendly Insight

Location Flexibility: This role is advertised as 100% remote with no fixed office requirement — just a laptop and reliable internet. Truelogic explicitly targets Latin America-based professionals, so expect a preference for candidates operating within LATAM time zones (roughly UTC-3 to UTC-8), which aligns well with U.S. Eastern/Central working hours.

Async vs. Sync Balance: The role emphasizes ticket-driven workflows (Azure DevOps) and autonomous execution once requirements are defined — both strong indicators of async-friendly culture. However, collaboration with U.S.-based clients likely requires some overlap with EST/CST business hours, so fully off-grid schedules may be challenging.

Visa & Nomad Considerations: LATAM residents can explore digital nomad visas in destinations like Costa Rica (Digital Nomad Visa, min. $3,000/mo income) or Colombia (Digital Nomad Visa). For shorter stays, tourist visas work across most of the region.

  • Medellín, Colombia: Cost of living ~$1,200–$1,800/mo for a comfortable lifestyle — a competitive USD salary would stretch very well here.
  • Buenos Aires, Argentina: With favorable exchange rates, USD earners enjoy significant purchasing power.
  • Mexico City, Mexico: ~$1,500–$2,200/mo comfortable living; strong digital nomad infrastructure and co-working scene.

No travel perks (coworking allowance, equipment stipend) are explicitly mentioned, so factor this into your setup costs.

Job Summary

We are looking for a Front End Developer to help design and implement high-quality user interfaces for data-driven products. This role requires a strong balance of technical execution, data fluency, and design sensibility.

You will work closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to translate requirements into clean, scalable, and maintainable frontend solutions. This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys working with complex data, evolving schemas, and modern React architecture, while maintaining a strong focus on usability and visual clarity.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain component-based user interfaces using React (hooks, functional components).
  • Implement TypeScript-first frontend logic, including strict typing for API responses and transformed data.
  • Transform, normalize, and prepare backend and analytics data for frontend consumption.
  • Manage application state using Redux, including deciding when to use global vs. local state.
  • Handle incomplete data, edge cases, and evolving schemas without breaking UI flows.
  • Implement pixel-perfect, production-ready UIs from design mocks or written requirements.
  • Collaborate with design, product, and backend teams to clarify requirements and resolve ambiguity early.
  • Read and execute work based on Azure DevOps tickets, following acceptance criteria precisely.
  • Write clean, testable utility functions and reusable components.
  • Follow established project standards (folder structure, state patterns, styling, linting).
  • Participate in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback.
  • Own features end-to-end, from implementation through QA and bug fixes.

Qualifications and Job Requirements

  • Advanced React experience using hooks, functional components, and modern patterns.
  • Advanced TypeScript experience defining interfaces and types for APIs and frontend data models.
  • Strong experience with Redux or similar state management libraries.
  • Proven ability to work with complex, data-driven UIs and dynamic rendering logic.
  • Comfortable transforming backend or tracking data into frontend-friendly structures.
  • Strong understanding of UI implementation details (spacing, hierarchy, interaction states).
  • Ability to work independently once requirements are defined.
  • Clear, proactive communicator who asks questions when requirements are unclear.
  • Experience working in collaborative, ticket-driven workflows (e.g., Azure DevOps, Jira).
  • Strong focus on code quality, maintainability, and consistency.
