Traveler-Friendly Insight

This role is an excellent fit for digital nomads and location-independent professionals. Ruby Labs explicitly states that applicants from any country are welcome, provided they operate within ±4 hours of Central European Time (CET/UTC+1). This timezone window opens up most of Europe, Africa (e.g., Lagos, Nairobi), the Middle East, and even extends to South Asia in some seasons.

The position is structured as an Independent Contractor Agreement, which is ideal for nomads — you retain flexibility over your legal/tax setup, can invoice from your preferred jurisdiction, and avoid traditional employment constraints. No office attendance is required.

Regarding schedule flexibility: while no fixed daily hours are specified, the CET ±4 overlap requirement suggests some synchronous collaboration is expected. Purely async nomads in East Asia or the Americas may find this restricting.

Nomad-friendly destinations within the timezone window:

  • Lisbon, Portugal (UTC+0/+1) — deeply within range; cost of living ~€1,800–2,500/month; strong nomad infrastructure and Digital Nomad Visa available.
  • Tbilisi, Georgia (UTC+4) — at the outer edge; very low cost (~€900–1,400/month); easy long-stay via the 1-year "Remotely from Georgia" program.
  • Chiang Mai, Thailand (UTC+7) — outside the timezone window; not suitable for this role.

Perks include a company-provided MacBook — one less gear expense for travelers. No coworking stipend is mentioned, so budget accordingly.

About the Role

Ruby Labs is looking for a Senior CRO Manager – someone who lives and breathes conversion optimization and delivers measurable results. In this role, you'll have a clear mission: deliver 15% conversion rate growth in a quarter.

Unlike companies where CRO specialists simply make recommendations, you'll drive the entire process: from data analysis and hypothesis generation to creating high-fidelity mockups, collaborating with developers on implementation, and ultimately owning the performance outcomes.

We've built a compensation structure that directly rewards those who exceed targets – top performers see substantial financial growth tied directly to their impact. If you're ready to apply your optimization talents in an environment where excellence is expected and rewarded, we want to talk to you.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end optimization cycles: research → hypothesis → design → testing → rollout.

  • Perform deep funnel analysis and competitive benchmarking to uncover high-impact opportunities.

  • Design high-quality UI/UX mockups that clearly communicate your vision and maintain brand integrity.

  • Partner with engineers to ensure flawless test implementation and deployment.

  • Maintain uncompromising attention to detail and quality throughout the process.

  • Analyze test outcomes with statistical rigor, making confident scaling decisions.

  • Document learnings and build a systematic testing roadmap for continuous conversion growth.

  • Present insights and results clearly to stakeholders, building alignment and momentum.

Qualifications

  • Proven CRO Results: 3+ years of hands-on CRO experience, ideally with subscription or SaaS funnels, with documented performance lifts.

  • Design Sensibility: Strong UI/UX understanding, able to create compelling, detailed mockups.

  • Analytical Expertise: Skilled in platforms such as Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Growthbook (or similar).

  • Execution Excellence: Remarkable attention to detail with a bias for action in fast-moving environments.

  • Ownership Mentality: Self-driven, proactive, and comfortable being fully accountable for performance outcomes.

  • Communication: Clear, persuasive communicator with strong English skills (written and spoken).

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to marketing attribution models, UTM parameters, and ROAS measurement.

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and execute quickly.

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.

What We Offer to High Performers

We value ambitious professionals who deliver results. We offer:

  • A merit-based environment where performance directly impacts compensation

  • Substantial bonus structure tied to exceeding KPI targets

  • Rapid career advancement for those who consistently deliver

  • Autonomy to implement your vision without bureaucratic barriers

  • Opportunity to work with a team that moves fast and values excellence

If you're a CRO professional who thrives on measurable impact, loves owning the full optimization process, and wants compensation directly tied to your performance, we want to talk. This role is for someone who doesn't just want to suggest improvements – but wants to create them, implement them, and be rewarded for their success.
