Senior AI Engineer at Proxify - Remote CET Timezone — Columbus
Traveler-Friendly Insight
Timezone Constraint Is the Key Factor Here. This role requires you to work within CET ± 3 hours (UTC+1 to UTC+4 approximately). That means you must be based — or at least operate — somewhere from Western Europe to the Gulf region. This firmly excludes Southeast Asia, the Americas, and most of APAC as viable bases without significant schedule sacrifice.
Viable nomad bases within the timezone window:
- Lisbon, Portugal (UTC+0/+1): At the western edge of the allowed window. Extremely popular nomad hub, affordable by Western EU standards (~$1,800–$2,500/mo comfortable living), and offers a Digital Nomad Visa for non-EU citizens.
- Tbilisi, Georgia (UTC+4): At the eastern edge. Very low cost of living (~$1,000–$1,500/mo), visa-free for many nationalities for up to 1 year, fast internet, growing tech scene.
- Tallinn, Estonia (UTC+2/+3): EU-based, strong digital infrastructure, and home of the world's first Digital Nomad Visa. Moderate cost (~$2,000–$2,800/mo).
Remote Structure: Proxify operates as a contractor network with consistent 8-hour days and monthly payments. The role is fully remote but expect synchronous collaboration, so true async freedom is limited. The 24 flex days off per year add genuine schedule flexibility for travel between client engagements.
No explicit equipment stipend or coworking allowance is mentioned — budget for your own setup accordingly.
Talent has no borders. Proxify's mission is to connect top developers around the world with the opportunities they deserve. So, it doesn't matter where you are; we are here to help you fast-track your independent career in the right direction. 🙂
Since our launch, Proxify's developers have successfully worked with 1200+ happy clients to build their products and growth features. 5000+ talented developers trust Proxify and its network to fulfill their dreams and objectives.

The RoleWe are looking for a Senior AI Engineer to join one of our high-growth client teams to lead the development of next-generation autonomous systems. This is a backend-heavy fullstack role where you will be responsible for more than just simple prompt engineering. You will be architecting Agentic Workflows—systems that can reason, use tools, and execute complex coding tasks autonomously.
The ideal candidate is a language-agnostic engineer who is obsessed with the Claude ecosystem and has hands-on experience building systems where AI agents interact with real-world data and codebases. You will bridge the gap between advanced LLM capabilities and robust, scalable backend production environments.
What We Are Looking For- Deep expertise in Agentic Development — comfortable building multi-agent systems, ReAct loops, and self-correcting workflows.
- Mastery of the Claude 3/3.5 family — understanding how to leverage Claude's high reasoning capabilities and long context windows for complex logic.
- Experience building "AI-coding" features — using LLMs to generate, refactor, and test code programmatically within an application.
- Strong proficiency in at least one major backend language (Python, C#, or JavaScript/Node.js) and ability to design supporting infrastructure (APIs, Webhooks, Databases).
- Comfortable building necessary frontend components (React/Vue) to allow users to interact with AI agents seamlessly.
- Extensive experience giving LLMs "tools" — designing clean API interfaces that agents can call to perform actions in the physical or digital world.
- Intermediate-advanced English level.
- Time zone: CET (+/- 3 hours). Applications from candidates outside this time zone cannot be considered.
- Experience with LangChain, LangGraph, or CrewAI.
- Knowledge of Vector Databases (Pinecone, Weaviate) and advanced RAG patterns.
- Familiarity with LLM Observability tools (LangSmith, Helicone) to debug agentic reasoning chains.
- Background in Software Engineering Fundamentals: treating AI code like production code (CI/CD, Unit Testing, Version Control).
- Design and deploy autonomous agents that can handle end-to-end tasks, specifically focusing on Claude-based coding agents.
- Build the scalable "brains" of the application, ensuring that AI reasoning is integrated into the core business logic.
- Refine system prompts and multi-shot examples to maximize Claude's reasoning performance.
- Implement guardrails and validation layers to ensure that agentic outputs are safe, predictable, and high-quality.
- Work with Product and UX teams to define how "AI Agents" should feel and behave within the product interface.
- Get paid, not played: No more unreliable clients. Enjoy on-time monthly payments with flexible withdrawal options.
- Predictable project hours: A harmonious work-life balance with consistent 8-hour working days with clients.
- Flex days to recharge: Up to 24 flex days off per year without losing pay, for full-time positions found through Proxify.
- Career-accelerating positions: Exclusive long-term remote positions at the world's most exciting companies.
- Hand-picked opportunities: Skip typical recruitment roadblocks and biases with personally matched positions.
- One seamless process, multiple opportunities: A one-time contracting process for endless opportunities, with no extra assessments.
- Consistent compensation: Enjoy the same pay, every month with positions landed through Proxify.
