Traveler-Friendly Insight

This role is remote within Germany only — you must be based in Germany or have valid work authorization there. For digital nomads, this means it is not a location-independent position; German residency and work eligibility are hard requirements. This rules out long-term slow travel in other countries while holding this role.

That said, within Germany the role offers genuine flexibility. There are no stated fixed office hours, suggesting a degree of async-friendliness for internal work — though customer-facing demos and sales calls will naturally require availability during German/European business hours (CET/CEST).

Travel is a significant component: up to 50% of the time across EMEIA (Europe, Middle East, India, Africa). For someone who enjoys being on the road professionally, this is a strong perk — customer visits, trade shows, and conferences are built into the role, essentially funding travel across the region.

  • Visa note: German residents from the EU/EEA need no additional visa. Non-EU nationals would need a German work visa or EU Blue Card — Jamf mentions sponsorship is available.
  • Cost of living: No salary is disclosed, but Sales Engineer roles in Germany typically range €70k–€100k+. Berlin and Hamburg offer relatively good value for a major European tech hub compared to Zürich or London.
  • Remote perk: Fully remote within Germany means you can live anywhere in the country — smaller, more affordable cities like Leipzig or Nuremberg are viable bases.

If you're a nomad seeking true location independence, this role won't fit. But if you're settled in Germany and want a travel-rich role with remote flexibility, it's a compelling option.

At Jamf, we believe in an open, flexible culture based on respect and trust. Our track record and thriving work environment all stem from the freedom we grant ourselves to get the job done right. We take pride in helping tens of thousands of customers around the globe succeed with Apple.

The secret to our success lies in our connectivity, while operating with a high degree of flexibility. Work-life balance remains our priority while feeling connected is important to maintain our strong culture, achieve our goals, and thrive as #OneJamf.

This role is offered as remote in Germany. We are only able to accept applications from those based in Germany or who have sponsorship to live and work in Germany. #LI-Remote

What you'll do at Jamf:

At Jamf, we empower people to be their best selves and do their best work.

As a Sales Engineer, you'll be the technical voice in the room — running demos, answering the hard questions, and helping Key Account Managers and Regional Sales Managers turn opportunities into wins across Public Sector, Healthcare, and Education.

You won't be handed a script. This role comes with real autonomy: you'll decide how to position Jamf Pro, Jamf Protect, Jamf Connect, Jamf School and Jamf Mobile Forensics for the customer in front of you, build your own relationships with channel partners, and shape how AI-driven tools fit into the customer experience you're creating. Nobody expects you to be fluent in every product on day one — we're looking for someone who's fluid, curious, and ready to grow into the full portfolio.

You'll join a Sales Engineering team that takes the work seriously and each other less so. Expect a genuinely fun group of people, strong support for your development, and a customer base that makes the work worth doing.

What you can expect to do in this role:

  • Run live and virtual product demos, tailored to the customer's environment, not a generic script.
  • Become the go-to technical person for your accounts and channel partners — the one people trust to give a straight answer.
  • Recommend Jamf-based solutions that solve real business and technical problems, not just check boxes.
  • Support proof-of-concept projects and trials, seeing them through to a decision.
  • Sit down with channel partners' technical teams to walk through new Jamf products and how to position them on live opportunities.
  • Take the stage at trade shows, conferences, and industry events to represent Jamf.
  • Run enablement sessions and technical training for partners and internal teams.
  • Team up with marketing to create content — LinkedIn, YouTube, and webinars — that helps customers understand what's possible.
  • Keep account activity, technical engagement, and sales progress current in the CRM.
  • Bring technical insight to regional sales meetings and help shape strategy, not just execute it.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key regional partners over time.
  • Help teammates stay current by sharing updated technical materials and best practices.

What we're looking for:

  • 3–4 years in sales engineering, technical consultancy, or a similar customer-facing technical role.
  • Fluent in both English and German.
  • Solid grounding in Mobile Device Management, Apple in the enterprise, or network-level cybersecurity — you don't need to know every Jamf product yet, but you should be comfortable learning fast across a broad portfolio.
  • Jamf 300 or 400 certification is a plus.
  • A cybersecurity certification (Cybersecurity Fundamentals or similar) is a plus.
  • The independence to manage a field-based role well, balanced with genuine collaboration — you'll work closely with sales, marketing, product, and global enablement teams.
  • The ability to take a complex technical topic and make it click for whoever's in front of you, whether that's an IT director or a room at a conference.
  • A remote setup with up to 50% travel across EMEIA for customer sites, events, and internal meetings.

Education & Certifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher.
  • A combination of relevant experience and education may be considered.

How we help you reach your best potential:

  • Named a 2025 Best Companies to Work For by U.S. News.
  • Named one of Forbes Most Trusted Companies in 2024.
  • Named a 2024 PEOPLE Companies That Care by PEOPLE® and Great Place To Work®.
  • We know that big ideas can come from anyone, so we empower everyone to make an impact. Our 90% employee retention rate agrees!
  • You will have the opportunity to make a real and meaningful impact for more than 70,000 global customers with the best Apple device management solution in the world.
  • We set achievable targets, help each other out, and share best practices across the team.
  • We put people over profits – which is why our customers keep coming back to us.
  • Our volunteer time off allows employees to support and give back to our communities.
