Traveler-Friendly Insight

This role is not suitable for digital nomads or location-independent workers. It is a permanent, full-time, on-site technician position based in George Town, Cayman Islands, requiring physical presence at client sites — construction sites, commercial premises, and residential properties — every working day.

That said, for travellers who are open to relocating to the Cayman Islands, this is worth serious consideration. The Cayman Islands offer no income tax, a very high quality of life, and a warm Caribbean climate year-round. The cost of living is notably high — groceries, housing, and dining out are significantly more expensive than popular nomad hubs like Lisbon or Bangkok — but the tax-free salary structure can offset this considerably.

  • Visa consideration: Non-Caymanian workers typically require a work permit sponsored by the employer. The Security Centre Limited would need to sponsor your permit, so confirm this process during the application stage.
  • No remote or async component — daily site attendance is mandatory.
  • Driving is required — a valid driver's licence is listed as essential, and you'll need to travel between client sites.

If you are a skilled technician seeking an international placement in a tax-free, Caribbean environment rather than a location-flexible remote role, this opportunity stands out. Those seeking truly remote work should look elsewhere.
