Traveler-Friendly Insight

This role is an on-site, office-based position in Phnom Penh, Cambodia at what appears to be Coca-Cola Beverages Cambodia (CBC). It requires hands-on management of HR operations, payroll governance, vendor relationships, and team leadership — none of which are conducive to a fully remote or nomadic lifestyle. Fixed hours and physical presence are almost certainly expected.

That said, Phnom Penh is an increasingly popular destination for expatriate professionals. Cambodia's cost of living is significantly lower than most Southeast Asian capitals — a comfortable lifestyle including housing, food, and transport can be maintained for $1,500–$2,500/month, making a mid-to-senior HR manager salary stretch considerably further than in Bangkok or Singapore.

  • Visa options: Cambodia offers a readily available Ordinary (E) Visa for long-term stays, easily renewable. There is no dedicated digital nomad visa, but an EB (Business) Visa allows legal employment sponsorship.
  • Internet & infrastructure: Phnom Penh has reliable 4G/LTE and fibre broadband, with coworking spaces available in the city centre.
  • Travel perks: No travel-specific perks (coworking allowance, equipment stipend) are mentioned.

If you are a location-independent professional, this role is not a fit. Look instead for remote HR roles specifying "fully remote" or "async-first" working models.
