Traveler-Friendly Insight

This role is a fully on-site, location-fixed position at Scape's Hammersmith property in London. It requires physical presence 40 hours per week across shift patterns between 7am–8pm, Monday–Sunday, plus participation in an on-call rota covering evenings and weekends. There is absolutely no remote or async component — this is hands-on building maintenance work.

For digital nomads or location-independent workers, this role is not suitable. The on-call requirement and fixed-site nature make it impossible to perform from anywhere other than Hammersmith, London.

What to look for instead if you're a traveler:

  • Remote facilities or property management roles that handle coordination rather than physical repairs
  • PropTech or real estate SaaS companies hiring remotely for operations or customer support roles
  • Remote property management companies that operate virtually across multiple markets

If you are already based in London and hold the right to work in the UK, the position does offer some perks relevant to city living — onsite gym access reduces monthly gym costs, and the Cycle to Work scheme helps offset commuting expenses in an expensive city. However, London's high cost of living means this role's unlisted salary should be carefully evaluated at interview stage against local market benchmarks.
