Kitchen Technician - Four Seasons Bahamas Resort — Columbus
Traveler-Friendly Insight
This is an on-site, facility-maintenance role at a physical luxury resort on Paradise Island, Nassau, Bahamas. It is not remote-compatible in any capacity — kitchen equipment repair requires physical presence at the property every shift.
For digital nomads or location-independent workers, this role is not suitable. However, for those who love the idea of living and working in a stunning Caribbean destination, it could be an appealing lifestyle choice. Nassau and Paradise Island offer:
- A warm, tropical climate year-round
- Proximity to the US (short flights from Miami or New York)
- A vibrant expat and hospitality community
- Bahamian culture, water sports, and outdoor activities on your doorstep
Visa note: The posting explicitly states that candidates must already have legal authorization to work in The Bahamas — no sponsorship is offered. This rules out most nomad visa arrangements. You would need existing Bahamian work authorization, citizenship, or a valid work permit obtained independently.
There is no salary data provided, making cost-of-living comparisons difficult, but Nassau has a relatively high cost of living for the Caribbean. Accommodation and groceries can be expensive without employer-provided housing.
If you're seeking a travel-friendly remote or async role, look for positions in software, customer support, or content creation instead.
