Traveler-Friendly Insight

This role is listed as fully remote with no stated timezone restrictions, and Simprints explicitly hires globally ("Anywhere in the World"). That makes it one of the more nomad-friendly opportunities available — particularly for senior tech professionals who want meaningful work alongside location freedom.

Schedule flexibility: Simprints operates a 4-day workweek (Fridays off) and champions a mutual-flex culture focused on results rather than fixed hours. This strongly implies async-friendly workflows, though some real-time availability will be expected for stakeholder calls and team coordination — expect occasional overlap with UK business hours (GMT/BST).

Visa considerations: The salary of £60,000–£70,000 GBP (approximately $75,000–$88,000 USD) is competitive for remote work from most nomad hubs:

  • Lisbon, Portugal: Very comfortable living on this income; Portugal's Digital Nomad Visa (D8) is well-suited for non-EU remote workers earning above the threshold.
  • Bangkok, Thailand: Excellent purchasing power; Thailand's LTR (Long-Term Resident) visa or METV are practical options for stays of 6–12 months.
  • Medellín, Colombia: Cost of living is low — roughly $1,500–$2,000/month for a comfortable lifestyle — making this salary go very far. Colombia offers a digital nomad visa for stays up to 2 years.

Travel-relevant perks: The professional development budget ("Eduprints") could potentially fund coworking memberships or skill-building while abroad. Field visits to partner countries (e.g., Bangladesh, Malawi, Ghana) are mentioned as part of the role, which may include funded travel — a genuine perk for globally curious workers.
