Position Description

This full-time position is based out of our Beavercreek, OH office, with travel as needed to support DoD, Federal Civilian, and commercial customers.

As an Acquisition and Program Management Professional, you will play a key role as a senior technical leader, providing strategic guidance and expert-level support across a range of Acquisition Management and Contracting capabilities. This role involves managing high-impact projects and advising clients at an executive level. Responsibilities include planning, executing, and overseeing acquisition programs, as well as organizing, training, and leading a support team. You will frequently engage with senior government officials, deliver briefings, and lead large meetings.

The ideal candidate will have experience in DoD Aircraft and Weapon System acquisitions and hold an active Top Secret/SCI clearance. Experience supporting US Air Force organizations is highly valued. Key responsibilities include providing acquisition management support to ensure effective and efficient service delivery aligned with the customer’s mission.

In this role you will:

  • Plan and execute Acquisition Management and Contracting analysis and transformation projects, including proposing, planning, assigning, and managing task leads.
  • Lead the analysis of Acquisition Management and Contracting efforts by developing recommendations and final products.
  • Oversee the preparation of final products and facilitate meetings and workshops.
  • Manage client relationships as the primary contact, building trust and fostering long-term partnerships across diverse projects.
  • Provide leadership, analytical support, and tactical subject matter expertise to acquisition initiatives.
  • Contribute to high-level strategic planning, policy and procedure development, business process improvements, and compliance review.
  • Demonstrate thought leadership by mentoring and training junior team members and guiding clients through change management.
  • Engage in business development by identifying opportunities and contributing to proposals.
  • Oversee project execution.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A DoD Top Secret with Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) clearance.
  • A Master’s degree in a relevant field with at least 12 years of related acquisition/program management experience, including 10 years in a leadership position.
  • Extensive knowledge of Air Force program management and contracting policies and procedures related to major weapon systems.
  • Significant experience with Defense Acquisition management processes as defined in the DoD 5000 series directives.
  • Proven ability to lead projects from initiation to completion, managing cost, schedule, and performance while adapting to diverse functional requirements.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Experience in leading a collaborative team to complete complex projects.
  • Expertise in contributing to and leading business development through opportunity identification and proposal crafting.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 10%.

Additional desired experience and skills:

  • Experience leading Major Platform Acquisition and Modernization programs.
  • Experience with Advanced Aircraft Special Programs.
  • Broad experience in developing, coordinating, and communicating program management strategies and funding recommendations with mid- to senior-level personnel.
