Traveler-Friendly Insight

This role is explicitly remote for US/UK-based candidates, but comes with a significant caveat: you must maintain overlap hours with Dubai (UTC+4). That means your working window needs to align with the Gulf timezone, which creates real constraints depending on where you're travelling.

From a nomad standpoint, here's how popular destinations stack up:

  • Lisbon (UTC+1/+0): A comfortable overlap — Dubai is only 3-4 hours ahead. You'd work roughly midday-to-evening local time. Cost of living is moderate (~$2,000–$2,800/month for a comfortable lifestyle).
  • Bangkok (UTC+7): More challenging — Dubai is 3 hours behind Bangkok, meaning you'd need early morning availability. Manageable but requires discipline. Very affordable (~$1,200–$1,800/month).
  • Medellín (UTC-5): Hardest overlap — Dubai is 9 hours ahead. Late-evening calls would be unavoidable and unsustainable long-term.

The work itself is highly async-compatible (publishing, scheduling, analytics) except for team syncs. Europe and East Africa timezones are the sweet spot for Dubai overlap while travelling. The role doesn't mention equipment stipends or coworking budgets, so factor those costs in independently. No visa sponsorship is implied — candidates would need their own right to work in the US/UK or rely on local visas when travelling abroad.

We're looking for the person who takes a finished episode and makes it reach and grow an audience. You'll own how our shows perform on YouTube, Spotify and Apple — the titles, thumbnails, chapters, publishing, and the short-form that pulls new viewers in. We handle production in Dubai; you own distribution and growth. We're hiring in the US/UK because that's where the deepest podcast-growth talent lives.

What You'll Own

Publishing & Optimisation

  • Upload and schedule every episode across YouTube, Spotify, Apple and the clip platforms
  • Craft titles, thumbnails, descriptions, chapters/timestamps and tags — optimised per platform
  • Handle Spotify video setup, the Apple feed, YouTube "Set as podcast", captions and transcripts
  • Run a per-episode quality checklist before anything ships

Growth

  • Own YouTube & Spotify growth strategy — read the data and double down on what works
  • Build the short-form plan (Shorts, Reels, TikTok) to turn viewers into subscribers
  • Track views, retention, subscribers and CTR, and feed insights back to the team
  • Stay ahead of platform changes and podcast trends

What We're Looking For

  • A proven track record growing a podcast or channel on YouTube + Spotify — show us the numbers
  • Deep knowledge of YouTube SEO, thumbnails, Spotify/Apple publishing and Shorts strategy
  • Hands-on with YouTube Studio, Spotify for Creators and analytics tools
  • Based in the US or UK, working remotely, with overlap hours for Dubai
  • Organised, data-driven, and someone who closes loops

Bonus

  • Experience with video podcasts specifically
  • Editing/thumbnail literacy (enough to brief and review)
  • Familiarity with the clip / content-reward model
