Traveler-Friendly Insight

This role is listed as home-based in Texas, which provides a degree of location flexibility — but it is far from a classic remote/nomad-friendly position. The job explicitly requires 50–70% travel across the Central South US territory (Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Louisiana), meaning you will spend more time on the road than at a desk.

Key lifestyle considerations for location-independent workers:

  • Not internationally nomad-friendly: The role is restricted to US residents and requires a valid US driver's license and frequent domestic travel. International digital nomad visas are not applicable here.
  • Fixed territory: You must be physically present in the Central South US region regularly. Relocating abroad while holding this role would be impractical and likely violate the position's requirements.
  • Home base flexibility: Within Texas, you could choose a lower cost-of-living city like San Antonio or El Paso. At $125,000–$135,000 base plus bonus, disposable income would be high in those markets compared to Austin or Dallas.
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday with travel as needed — not async-friendly. Client visits and calls require real-time availability during business hours (Central time).

If you are seeking a role that allows true location independence or international remote work, this position is not a fit. Look instead for fully remote, async-first sales roles with no territorial travel requirements.
