Traveler-Friendly Insight

This role is officially listed as remote with a hybrid model — however, it comes with a critical caveat for location-independent workers: 50%+ travel is required. This is a field sales position where "the day-to-day job is on the road," meaning regular face-to-face meetings with prospects and clients across your assigned US territory. This is not an async-friendly role.

Timezone constraints: The role is US-based and tied to US enterprise accounts, so you'll need to be consistently available during US business hours (typically ET/CT/PT depending on territory). International slow-travel or multi-continent nomading is effectively incompatible with the 50% travel requirement within the US.

Visa considerations: The role appears US-restricted (US-only benefits cited). Non-US citizens would need a valid US work authorization. Digital nomad visas in other countries are not applicable here.

Salary vs. cost of living: The $150K–$180K base (plus commission at 50/50 split, meaning OTE of $300K–$360K) is generous by any global standard:

  • Lisbon: Monthly costs ~$2,500–$3,500 — but US work authorization and territory presence rules this out as a base.
  • Bangkok / Medellín: Similarly attractive cost-of-living destinations, but incompatible with required US territory travel.

If you're a US-based nomad traveling domestically while working field sales, the remote home-base flexibility is a genuine perk. But true location-independent nomads should look for fully remote, async-first roles instead.
