Traveler-Friendly Insight

Fully async, work-from-anywhere: This role at Remote.com is one of the most nomad-friendly positions available. The company explicitly states "you can fulfill this role from any location" and operates on a fully asynchronous model — no fixed hours, no mandatory meeting windows, no timezone lock-in. You truly plan your day around your life.

Timezone flexibility: Because the payroll focus is on LATAM countries (Argentina, Mexico, Chile), you'll need occasional overlap with business hours in UTC-3 to UTC-6. This makes destinations in Europe (Lisbon, UTC+0/+1), Southeast Asia (Bangkok, UTC+7), or South America itself (Medellín, UTC-5) all viable — though European evenings may require some late-day availability for LATAM client queries.

Salary vs. cost of living: The range of $35,250–$79,300 USD/year goes a long way in nomad hubs:

  • Lisbon, Portugal: Comfortable living at ~$2,000–$2,500/month — mid-range salary covers this well.
  • Bangkok, Thailand: High quality of life at ~$1,200–$1,800/month — even the lower end of the salary is generous here.
  • Medellín, Colombia: ~$1,000–$1,500/month — excellent purchasing power, and timezone aligns perfectly with LATAM clients.

Nomad-relevant perks include: home office/IT equipment budget, coworking space budget, and a learning budget. No travel stipend is mentioned, but the coworking allowance lets you hot-desk anywhere globally. The company employs people across 6 continents, so compliance paperwork via their own EOR platform should be smooth.
