.NET Architect at Zartis - Remote EMEA/LATAM Role — Columbus
Traveler-Friendly Insight
100% remote with EMEA/LATAM reach — this role is fully distributed, making it genuinely location-independent for most digital nomads. Zartis explicitly has hubs in EMEA and LATAM, so the role suits travelers based across a wide range of countries.
Timezone considerations: The client is a global private equity firm and the project team is distributed. While exact timezone requirements aren't stated, European or LATAM working hours are the practical expectation given Zartis' hub locations. Travelers should plan to align with CET/CEST or a compatible overlap — roughly UTC-5 to UTC+3. Pure APAC timezones (e.g., Bali, Vietnam) could create friction for stakeholder calls.
Visa and residency options: For EMEA-based nomads, countries like Portugal (D8 Digital Nomad Visa), Spain (Digital Nomad Visa), and Georgia (Remotely from Georgia) are strong fits with affordable CoL. For LATAM travelers, Colombia (Nómada Digital Visa) and Mexico (Temporary Resident Visa) are practical choices.
Travel-relevant perks:
- Monthly WFH allowance can offset coworking space costs in cities like Lisbon, Medellín, or Buenos Aires.
- No mention of mandatory on-site visits or equipment shipping — async-capable setup likely.
No salary is disclosed, but Principal/.NET Architect roles typically command €70k–€110k+ in Europe — strong purchasing power in lower-CoL nomad hubs like Tbilisi or Medellín.
.NET Software Architect
The Company and Our Mission
Zartis is a global AI transformation and technology consulting partner where talented engineers and technologists work on cutting-edge innovation. We partner with ambitious organizations to design, build, and scale technology solutions that deliver real impact.
Our teams bring deep expertise in AI-driven platforms, secure API architectures, and cloud-native engineering. You will work on meaningful projects that accelerate the adoption of advanced technologies — from strategy and discovery through to full product delivery — helping turn complex challenges into measurable outcomes.
With engineering hubs across EMEA and LATAM, and long-term partnerships in financial services, healthcare and life sciences, and energy and climate, we offer opportunities to work on projects that truly matter. Here, you will not just build technology — you will drive business impact and grow your career alongside industry leaders.
We are looking for a .NET Software Architect to work on a project in the Fintech Industry.
The Project
You will be part of a distributed team developing new technologies to solve real business problems for a global private equity firm managing 60+ portfolio companies, on a major platform rebuild — modernizing a core banking/reconciliation platform from a tightly-coupled .NET monolith into an MVC architecture (ASP.NET Core, Razor Pages, Telerik), migrating several hundred business rules onto a test-driven validation layer, and integrating with 15–20 remote databases on Azure.
We are looking for a Principal-calibre engineer with strong, current C#/.NET expertise, real experience taking a legacy monolith through a modern re-architecture, and the stakeholder-management maturity to communicate confidently and proactively with a demanding client. Hands-on fluency with AI-augmented, agentic development workflows (e.g. Claude Code) is expected, not just tool familiarity.
What You Will Do
Own end-to-end technical delivery — the ASP.NET Core/Razor Pages front end with Telerik components, and the underlying C#/MS SQL Server back end — within the core delivery team.
Lead the discovery, characterisation, testing and migration of business rules, currently split across stored procedures and application code, onto a reliable, test-driven validation layer as part of the platform rebuild.
Help define and drive the transition from a tightly-coupled monolith to a modern MVC architecture, including hardening the existing API layer toward a full REST implementation.
Design and build resilient integrations across 15–20 remote databases, working within the Azure App Configuration and Key Vault infrastructure.
Use Claude Code, GitHub Copilot and Zartis' Zcora instruction framework to structure and accelerate AI-assisted delivery with appropriate human review and validation.
Act as the primary technical point of contact for client stakeholders, bringing Principal-level communication, expectation-setting and delivery ownership.
Drive quality through the shift-left QA effort (Playwright automation, SonarQube quality gates, Three Amigos sessions) to reduce regression cycles.
What You Will Bring
Strong, current C#/.NET expertise: Azure, ASP.NET Core/MVC, Razor Pages, Telerik UI components and MS SQL Server.
Proven experience with legacy-to-modern migrations and monolith-to-MVC architecture, ideally on tightly-coupled, full-stack codebases.
A track record of strong stakeholder management and clear, proactive communication in senior or principal engineering roles.
Hands-on fluency with AI-augmented, agentic engineering workflows (Claude Code, GitHub Copilot or similar) — able to speak concretely about your own approach, not just tool familiarity.
Comfort operating in a regulated financial-services or private-equity environment.
Azure cloud infrastructure experience, particularly App Configuration and Key Vault.
Nice to Have
Exposure to shift-left QA practices — i.e. Playwright, SonarQube.
Experience with GitHub, including migrations away from Azure DevOps.
Prior experience in private equity, fund administration, or wider financial-services technology.
