Traveler-Friendly Insight

This role is fully remote, which is a plus for location-independent workers — but there are meaningful constraints to consider before applying as a digital nomad.

Schedule flexibility is limited. The position requires a fixed 40-hour work week, often on an afternoon or night shift aligned to Philippine time (PHT, UTC+8). This is designed to overlap with global (likely US or European) teams. If you're based in or traveling through Southeast Asia or East Asia, this schedule is manageable. However, nomads in Europe (e.g., Lisbon, UTC+1) would find themselves working into the early morning hours, and those in Latin America (e.g., Medellín, UTC-5) would be working overnight — making this role poorly suited for western hemisphere travel.

Best-fit nomad destinations for this timezone:

  • Bangkok, Thailand (UTC+7): A 1-hour offset from PHT; afternoon/night shifts are very workable. Cost of living is low (~$1,200–$1,800/month comfortably).
  • Bali, Indonesia (UTC+8): Perfect timezone match. Very popular nomad hub with costs around $1,000–$1,600/month.
  • Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam (UTC+7): Affordable (~$900–$1,400/month) with a great nomad scene.

Perks relevant to travelers: Equipment is provided, removing the need to source your own hardware. HMO coverage is Philippines-based and likely won't extend internationally, so travel health insurance would be essential for those traveling outside the Philippines.
