Traveler-Friendly Insight

This role offers genuine location flexibility for digital nomads — with one important constraint: you must be based in the Eastern U.S. timezone (ET) or be willing to work ET hours. Candidates in or near Leeds, UK can also apply in a hybrid/remote capacity. This timezone requirement limits which nomad bases make practical sense.

Timezone-compatible nomad destinations:

  • Lisbon, Portugal (WET/WEST): At ET+5, overlap is workable with early mornings. Cost of living is moderate (~$2,000–$2,800/mo for a comfortable nomad lifestyle). Portugal's Digital Nomad Visa (D8) is well-suited for non-EU remote workers earning above a salary threshold.
  • Medellín, Colombia (COT, ET+0 or ET+1): Almost perfect timezone alignment with ET. A thriving nomad hub with costs around $1,200–$1,800/mo. Colombia allows tourist-visa stays of up to 90 days; a digital nomad visa (DNV) is also available.
  • Mexico City, Mexico (CST, ET+1): Near-perfect overlap with ET hours. Strong infrastructure, costs of ~$1,500–$2,200/mo. Mexico's Temporary Resident Visa suits long-term stays.

Async friendliness: The role involves agency coordination and cross-team stakeholder communication, suggesting regular syncs are likely. Expect 3–5 fixed meeting slots per week rather than a fully async setup.

The $75/month remote stipend for phone and internet is a helpful (if modest) perk for nomads. No mention of coworking allowances or travel/meetup budgets.
