Traveler-Friendly Insight

This role is remote but highly location-restricted — applicants must be current residents of the Philippines. This is not a nomadic-friendly position in the traditional sense, as you cannot work from Lisbon, Bangkok, or Medellín.

Schedule constraints are significant: The position requires graveyard hours (likely aligned with US time zones such as PST/EST), 5 days a week, 9 hours per day. This fixed overnight schedule leaves little flexibility for co-working spaces, travel, or timezone hopping — it is effectively an async-adjacent but time-locked role.

Infrastructure requirements add further restrictions:

  • Minimum 25 Mbps internet with a backup connection
  • Stable power supply (no frequent outages)
  • Own laptop or desktop

These requirements are compatible with staying in major Philippine cities like Manila, Cebu, or Davao, where coworking spaces and reliable fiber connections are widely available — but they effectively rule out slow-internet rural or island locations even within the Philippines.

For digital nomads already based in the Philippines and looking for stable remote income with a US-market company, this could be a solid entry point. No salary is disclosed, but junior web builder roles at US-backed companies in the Philippines typically range from ₱20,000–₱35,000/month, which provides a comfortable lifestyle in most Philippine cities. If you're set on location flexibility, this role is not suitable — look instead for async-first roles with no fixed timezone requirements.

Job Description

The Jr. Website Builder builds high-quality, high-performance real estate websites for the world's leading agents on our proprietary Presence Platform, working within established templates. The role requires design intuition, technical proficiency (HTML/CSS), and a meticulous eye for detail to represent every client's brand.

What You'll Own

Website Design & Build

  • Build & Execution: Execute end-to-end builds of standard websites within established design frameworks on the Presence Platform, ensuring designs are visually compelling and fully responsive across devices.

  • Design Elevation: Apply cohesive color palettes and typography within established templates to reflect each client's brand.

  • Review Project Requirements: Thoroughly review the project brief ticket and all supporting materials before beginning any work to ensure a complete understanding of project requirements.

  • Client Translation Mastery: Understand and translate every client ask — from intake notes, discovery materials, and brand guidance — into the actual build.

  • User Experience: Design intuitive, engaging websites that provide an exceptional user experience and support lead generation.

Quality Assurance & Compliance

  • Rigorous Self-QA: Review and validate your work against the Build + Self-QA checklist before handoff. Quality is built throughout the work, not inspected at the end.

  • Compliance Checks: Verify state disclosure, brokerage branding rules, and MLS/IDX display requirements before any design work is considered done.

  • SEO Fundamentals: Apply SEO best practices, including meta-data optimization and link mapping.

Process & Communication

  • Task Management: Meet established handling time targets for website drafts and revisions while maintaining accurate task statuses to ensure clear workflow visibility and pipeline accuracy.

  • On-Time Ownership: Own the delivery timeline of your assigned builds, and resolve QA passbacks promptly so the project keeps moving.

  • Reporting: Escalate platform bugs, project blockers, and out-of-scope requests to your Team Lead in a timely manner.

  • Raise Risk Early: Communicate workload, dependency, or delivery risk before a deadline is missed — not after.

  • Communication: Maintain timely communication by responding within the same business day, acknowledging important instructions, and providing updates when working on time-sensitive or high-priority tasks.

What We're Looking For

Experience

  • Little to no prior professional website-building experience required.

  • Prior exposure to block-based builders (e.g., Squarespace, Webflow, or similar) is a plus.

  • Fresh graduates with a strong portfolio and technical aptitude are strongly encouraged to apply — full training is provided.

Skills & Mindset

  • Technical: Foundational knowledge of HTML5, CSS, and JSON, with a willingness to build fluency quickly. Comfortable with Google Apps.

  • Design Eye: A developing sense of layout, balance, and aesthetic consistency. Knowledge in website UX/UI.

  • AI-Fluent: Comfortable using (or eager to learn) AI tools to accelerate coding and design tasks.

  • Coachable: Actively seeks feedback and applies it quickly.

  • Owner Mindset: Quick learner, reliable, strong work ethic — takes full responsibility for your work.

Core Values

  • Professionalism – Show up prepared, respectful, and dependable.

  • Ownership – Take responsibility for outcomes and follow through.

  • Communication – Be proactive, transparent, and timely.

  • Collaboration – Work well with others and contribute to team success.

  • Excellence – Deliver high-quality work with attention to detail.

  • Adaptability – Thrive in a fast-paced, remote environment.

  • Integrity – Do the right thing, even when no one is watching. Never mark QA notes or tasks complete before the work is actually implemented.

Requirements

  • Must be a current resident of the Philippines

  • Willing to work graveyard hours, 5 days a week, 9 hours a day (with a one-hour meal break)

  • Own a laptop or desktop

  • Have a valid government ID
  • Have an existing bank account or willing to open one if hired
  • Have a stable internet connection that is at least 25 Mbps and have a back-up connection
  • Live in an area where there is stable power supply not interrupted by constant power outages
