Traveler-Friendly Insight

Remote-First with Nomad-Friendly Core Hours

Sporty explicitly operates as a remote-first company, and the core hours of 10am–3pm local time are a significant win for digital nomads. This means you only need to be "present" for a 5-hour window in whatever timezone you're based — leaving genuine flexibility for location changes across Europe, and potentially even moderate timezone shifts (e.g., UTC-1 to UTC+5) without impacting your availability.

Practical Nomad Considerations

  • Timezone range: The hint points to Europe, so staying within UTC±3 keeps you comfortably within core hours. Destinations like Lisbon (UTC+1), Tbilisi (UTC+4), or Warsaw (UTC+2) all work well.
  • Visa options: Portugal's Digital Nomad Visa, Germany's Freelancer Visa, and Georgia's Remotely from Georgia program are all viable depending on your nationality.
  • Cost-of-living fit: Without a stated salary, exact comparisons are hard — but senior frontend lead roles in Europe typically pay €70k–€110k+. That budget stretches far in Lisbon (~€2,200/mo living costs), Medellín (~€1,200/mo), or Chiang Mai (~€900/mo) compared to Western Europe hubs.

Travel Perks: Top-of-line equipment provided (no need to carry your own kit) and annual company retreats mean paid travel for team networking. No explicit coworking stipend is mentioned, so budget accordingly.

What You'll Bring
