Traveler-Friendly Insight

Highly nomad-friendly: This is a fully remote, part-time freelance role with no fixed office location requirement. The project-based structure means you work on your own schedule, making it one of the more async-friendly opportunities available — ideal for designers hopping time zones.

Hours & timezone flexibility: The posting specifies 10–20 hours/week during active project phases, with no mention of required overlap hours or specific timezone. This strongly suggests async delivery — you submit work when complete, not during set hours. Perfect for nomads in vastly different time zones from US-based clients.

Earnings vs. cost of living: At up to $50/hour and ~15 hours/week average, you could gross roughly $2,500–$3,000/month — well above the cost of living in popular nomad hubs:

  • Lisbon, Portugal: ~$1,800–$2,200/month comfortable living. Strong surplus for savings or travel.
  • Bangkok, Thailand: ~$1,000–$1,500/month. Exceptional margin, great coworking infrastructure.
  • Medellín, Colombia: ~$1,200–$1,600/month. Very livable on this rate.

Visa considerations: Since no specific country restriction is stated, you can work from virtually anywhere on a tourist visa for short stays, or explore digital nomad visas in Portugal (D8), Colombia (Digital Nomad Visa), or Thailand (LTR Visa) for longer stays. No work authorization in the US is needed for freelance platform work.

No travel perks (coworking stipend, equipment budget) are explicitly mentioned — factor in your own workspace costs.
