Remote Enterprise Account Executive - Fintech USA — Columbus
Traveler-Friendly Insight
This role is classified as fully remote within the United States — which is good news for location-flexible workers, but comes with a firm constraint: you must be based in the domestic U.S. Branch explicitly cannot hire candidates outside the U.S., so international nomad setups are off the table. Tourist visa or foreign base arrangements will not qualify.
For U.S.-based nomads who travel domestically (van life, city-hopping, extended Airbnb stays), this role is well-suited. However, enterprise sales roles typically require availability during standard U.S. business hours — particularly for C-suite executive calls, partner meetings, and multi-stakeholder deal cycles. Expect East to West Coast timezone coverage, roughly 9am–6pm across multiple zones. True async freedom is limited by the nature of relationship-driven enterprise selling.
- Home-office stipend: Monthly stipend helps cover your workspace costs, whether at home or a coworking space.
- No coworking or travel budget is explicitly mentioned — worth clarifying in interviews if client-facing travel is expected.
- Flexible PTO supports time off between deal cycles, which can align well with nomadic travel windows.
With a base of $135k–$150k (plus variable comp), U.S.-based nomads in lower-cost cities like Austin, Nashville, or Boise would have strong purchasing power. International travel stays would need to be structured carefully around U.S. employment law and tax residency requirements.

About the Role:
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Enterprise Account Executive to join our Marketplaces sales team. Branch is a leader in the marketplace payments space, with some of the largest labor and delivery marketplaces in the world — including Uber and Instacart — among our largest customers. In this role, you will be responsible for driving new business acquisition and revenue growth by selling our innovative FinTech solutions to enterprise-level clients. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of managing complex sales cycles, building strong relationships with C-level executives, and a deep understanding of the financial services industry.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Own and manage a named book of enterprise and upper-mid-market labor and seller marketplace clients to build strategic relationships at C-suite, VP, and director levels.
- Lead full sales cycles, from inbound and outbound prospecting through contract negotiation and closing.
- Partner closely with our embedded payments platform partner's sales organization to jointly identify, pursue, and manage shared accounts — driving co-sell and cross-sell opportunities and enabling their sellers to effectively position Branch within their deals.
- Develop and execute comprehensive account plans to win new business and expand with existing clients.
- Work cross-functionally across Product, Finance, and Engineering to design and deliver custom solutions as part of a technical selling process.
- Drive and refine the marketplace strategy: help define and scale repeatable engagement models, sales motions, and positioning for Branch's platform offerings.
- Use metrics and financial analysis to quantify value propositions and ROI for prospective clients.
- Collaborate with internal teams to shape product roadmap based on client feedback, competitive landscape, and market demand.
- Hit or exceed revenue targets, sales quotas, and other KPIs relevant to platform and enterprise deals.
Qualifications (Required):
- 5–8 years of experience in enterprise sales, preferably selling platforms, embedded finance, payments, or infrastructure solutions.
- Have closed sizable ($500k+ ARR), complex deals (multi-stakeholder, multi-quarter cycles, including technical and non-technical buyers).
- Are comfortable engaging senior executives (CTOs, CFOs, COOs) as well as technical leaders (engineers, security/compliance).
- Have strong product acumen and are capable of understanding and communicating both technical and financial value.
- Are highly analytical — you know how to build business cases, model ROI, and use data to drive decisions.
- Are self-motivated, resourceful, and can thrive in a fast-moving environment that requires both strategic thinking and hands-on execution.
- Are excellent communicators, both written and verbal.
Qualifications (Preferred):
- Previous experience in fintech, embedded finance, or payments infrastructure.
- Experience selling into or working with HR technology and vertical SaaS platforms.
- Familiarity with risk, regulatory, and compliance considerations in financial services.
