Traveler-Friendly Insight

This role is listed as primarily remote with a San Francisco office presence, which offers some location flexibility — but with a critical constraint: you must be based in Canada or the United States. This significantly limits nomadic freedom, as you'll need to maintain a legal address in one of these two countries.

Timezone & Schedule: The posting doesn't specify strict hours, but working closely with a co-founder and cross-functional teams in San Francisco implies Pacific or at least North American timezone availability. Expect overlap with PT (UTC-8/-7), which rules out long-term stays in Asia or Europe without schedule strain.

Visa Considerations: If you're a Canadian or US citizen, you have the most flexibility. Canada's open work permit pathways and the US TN/H-1B structures apply here. Brazil's digital nomad visa (VITEM XIV) is an option for extended stays, but you'd need to retain Canadian or US residency for employment eligibility.

Nomad-Friendly Destinations within reach:

  • Medellín, Colombia: Low cost of living (~$1,500/mo), overlaps well with ET/PT hours, no local visa required for short stays.
  • Mexico City: Strong tech community, PT-adjacent timezone, affordable at ~$1,800/mo.
  • Lisbon, Portugal: Possible during off-hours stretches but PT overlap would be challenging long-term.

The role includes a work setup budget, which can offset coworking costs. In-person off-sites and conferences add occasional travel perks but also require being available for US-based gatherings.

About the Role

We're looking for a Design Engineer (Brand) to help shape how the world discovers, understands, and experiences Infisical.

This is an intentionally broad role for someone who is passionate about design, engineering, and creative problem solving. You'll co-own the landing page, own our brand across every touchpoint, design everything from blog graphics and merchandise to conference booths and launch campaigns, and build pixel-perfect digital experiences. Beyond that, you'll take on ambitious engineering and creative projects wherever they have the greatest impact.

You'll work closely with our co-founder and the Marketing, Sales, and Developer Experience teams to:

  • Define and evolve Infisical's brand identity, including the visual language, creative direction, and level of craft across everything we put into the world.
  • Design brand and marketing surfaces, including blog graphics, merchandise, presentations, conference booths, launch campaigns, and other creative assets.
  • Build and maintain Infisical.com, including pixel-perfect pages, reusable frontend components, CMS integrations, SEO, analytics, and marketing tooling.
  • Prototype and ship ambitious engineering and creative projects, including interactive demos, AI-powered experiences, open source initiatives, and internal tooling.

Requirements

  • Strong design and engineering skills, with experience building polished digital experiences and a portfolio demonstrating exceptional visual craft, creativity, and technical execution.
  • Deep mastery of JavaScript, React.js, Node.js, TypeScript, and frameworks like React/Next.js.
  • Exceptional taste and creative judgment, with the ability to translate abstract ideas into bold, cohesive, and beautifully crafted experiences.
  • Bias toward action: able to make decisions, iterate quickly, and take calculated risks.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and eagerness to learn.
  • Based in Canada or the United States (SF preferred).

Nice to Have

  • Technical SEO fundamentals.
  • Experience with CMS platforms (e.g. Contentful, Sanity, etc.).
  • Experience configuring website analytics/marketing platform integrations such as with Google Analytics and HubSpot.
  • Experience with developer-facing products or startups.

Team, Values & Benefits

Our team brings experience from companies like Databricks, AWS, Red Hat, and more. We operate primarily as a remote team, but maintain a strong presence in San Francisco, where we have an office. We also get together in person throughout the year for off-sites, conferences, and team gatherings.

At Infisical, we offer competitive compensation, including both salary and equity options. Additional benefits, such as a lunch stipend and a work setup budget, are available with more details to be found on our careers page.
