Remote SMB Account Executive at CoderPad – Ireland — Columbus
Traveler-Friendly Insight
Is this role nomad-friendly? Partially. This is a fully remote role based in Ireland, but it explicitly requires working standard Irish business hours (GMT/BST). That means you must be available roughly 9am–6pm in the GMT/BST timezone, which limits where you can realistically base yourself.
Timezone constraints: GMT/BST aligns well with Western Europe and parts of West Africa. Nomad hotspots in Central European Time (CET) like Lisbon or Berlin are only 1 hour offset — very manageable. However, Southeast Asia (Bangkok is GMT+7) or Latin America (Medellín is GMT-5) would make synchronous sales calls and demos extremely difficult during their local hours.
Visa considerations: The role requires Irish residency or the legal right to work in Ireland. As a result, true location-independence is constrained. Options include:
- Portugal's Digital Nomad Visa — not viable if Irish employment law mandates Irish residency.
- EU Freedom of Movement — EU citizens could potentially live in another EU country while employed in Ireland, depending on tax arrangements.
- Short holiday travel is feasible given GMT overlap with Europe.
Salary context: OTE of €90k–€100k is strong. In Lisbon, this exceeds typical local salaries significantly, offering a high quality of life. Dublin itself is one of Europe's most expensive cities, so remote-within-Ireland is the most common use case here.
