Email Marketing Manager at GoDaddy - Remote Canada — Columbus
Traveler-Friendly Insight
This role is fully remote within Canada (British Columbia or Ontario), meaning it is tied to Canadian provincial residency — not a globally location-independent position. If you are a Canadian citizen or permanent resident who travels domestically or makes occasional international trips, this is workable, but true long-term nomadism is restricted by the Canadian residency requirement.
Timezone considerations: GoDaddy targets US audiences, so expect collaboration hours aligned with US East and Pacific time zones (ET/PT). Working from BC puts you in PT naturally; Ontario aligns with ET. For short-term travel to nearby nomad-friendly destinations, PT/ET overlap remains manageable from Mexico City (CT, 1-2hr difference) or even Medellín, Colombia (ET equivalent), though working on a tourist visa abroad is a personal risk/legal grey area.
Salary context vs. nomad destinations: At CAD $101,500–$152,500 (~USD $74k–$112k at current rates), this salary is generous relative to cost of living in popular nomad hubs:
- Lisbon: ~USD $2,500/mo comfortable living; salary covers 2.5–3.7× monthly costs
- Bangkok: ~USD $1,500/mo; excellent purchasing power
- Medellín: ~USD $1,200/mo; very strong purchasing power
Travel-relevant perks include remote work infrastructure, an employee assistance program, and wellness days that add scheduling flexibility. No explicit coworking stipend or equipment budget is mentioned in the posting.
Location Details: Remote, Canada – British Columbia or Ontario
