Remote Appointment Setter Healthcare - Philippines — Columbus
Traveler-Friendly Insight
This role is Philippines-exclusive — the job posting explicitly requires applicants to be based in the Philippines and provide NBI Clearance, a Philippines-specific background check. This is not a location-independent nomad role; it is restricted to one country.
Schedule constraints are significant: Work hours are fixed at Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM–2:00 PM Pacific Time (PT). For Philippine-based workers, this translates to approximately 1:00 AM–5:00 AM (PST+1) or 2:00 AM–6:00 AM (PHT) depending on daylight saving time — a late-night to early-morning shift. This requires a stable home base with a reliable internet connection and a quiet environment, making co-living spaces or hostels impractical.
Earning potential vs. cost of living in the Philippines:
- At $6–$7/hour × 20 hours/week, gross weekly pay is roughly $120–$140 USD (~₱6,900–₱8,000 PHP), or approximately $480–$560/month. This is above minimum wage in most Philippine provinces and comfortable for budget living outside Metro Manila.
- In Metro Manila, this income covers basic living but leaves little room for extras.
There are no travel-specific perks such as coworking allowances or equipment stipends. The optional VPN access is a minor plus for security. Given the fixed graveyard-shift hours and country restriction, this role suits a Philippines-based worker seeking stable part-time income, not a traveling nomad.
