Part-Time Accountant at Spectrum One - Remote PH — Columbus

Traveler-Friendly Insight

This role is partially remote but not fully location-independent. While Spectrum One promotes a permanent remote culture, the Part-Time Accountant position explicitly requires the candidate to be located in Metro Manila and able to process government transactions in person at BIR, SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and other agencies when needed. This is a hard geographic constraint.

For digital nomads already based in the Philippines, this could still be a solid part-time contract — at just 10–15 hours per week, it leaves ample time for other projects or travel within the country. However, spontaneous international travel would be constrained by in-person filing deadlines that follow BIR's quarterly and annual schedule.

  • Timezone: Philippine Standard Time (PST, UTC+8) is implied by government agency interactions, though async flexibility exists for desk work.
  • Visa consideration: This role is effectively restricted to Philippine citizens or residents with the right to work in the PH, given the regulatory knowledge and in-person requirements.
  • Cost of living context: Metro Manila living costs are moderate — a comfortable lifestyle runs PHP 40,000–70,000/month. Part-time contractor income in this niche can range PHP 15,000–35,000/month for 10–15 hrs/week, making it a strong supplement to other income streams.

If you're a nomad seeking a fully location-independent accounting role, look for companies without in-country compliance requirements instead.
