Clutch Camera Hand Strap - Open Box
Quick-connecting and quick-adjusting, the clutch gives you access to your camera’s controls by quickly cinching down when you need security. Hypalon exterior, microfiber pad, and aluminum adjuster hardware is ultra-durable and inspired by high-end climbing gear. Attaches to your camera at 2 points: your camera strap mount (via a reinforced Hypalon loop) and your camera tripod mount (via our low-profile Arca-compatible Standard Plate). Clutch can be used alongside other Peak Design straps (sold separately) as well as the Capture Clip (sold separately).

Peak Design Clutch Camera Hand Strap — Quick-Cinch Wrist Grip for Travel Shooters
The gist: A Hypalon-and-microfiber hand strap that attaches to your camera at two points — letting you open-palm carry for comfort and instantly cinch down for a secure grip before raising the camera to shoot, without removing the strap between shots.
- Two-point security attachment: Connects to both the camera’s strap lug and the tripod socket via the included Standard Plate — distributing load across two anchor points so the camera won’t drop even if one connection shifts.
- Quick-adjust cinch mechanism: Loosen the strap for open-palm walking carry, cinch it tight in one pull for secure shooting hold — the full range of adjustment happens in under a second without tools or threading.
- Hypalon and microfiber construction: The exterior material is the same synthetic rubber used in high-end climbing gear — grippy in wet conditions, resistant to UV degradation, and comfortable on bare wrists during all-day carry in humid destinations.
- Full Peak Design ecosystem compatibility: Works alongside other Peak Design straps and the Capture Clip simultaneously — the Clutch provides wrist security while a neck strap handles the weight on long shooting days.
Peak Design’s official product page confirms the Clutch attaches at both the camera’s strap mount and tripod socket, and is specifically designed for use alongside other Peak Design carry systems — not a replacement for a full shoulder strap.
Best for: Travel photographers who carry their camera in hand on busy shooting days and need rapid-deploy wrist security without removing a neck strap between shots. Skip it if: You prefer a shoulder or sling-carry setup for most of your shooting — the Clutch is optimized for in-hand grip, not hanging carry.
