ASM1 - Shockmount
The ASM1 is an adjustable shock mount designed to be used on and off the boom pole. On the boom, it can utilize the 1/4" 20 or 3/8" threaded mounts. Off the boom, you can disassemble it to utilize the GoPro-compatible hinge and pair it with any GoPro-compatible mounting solution for plant mic-ing. The adjustable sliding suspensions means it's ready to work with any number of microphones and help keep them balanced and isolated from any rumble.

Deity ASM1 Shockmount — Versatile Mic Mounting for Field Recorders and Run-and-Gun Filmmakers
The gist: A dual-purpose shockmount that rides on a boom pole for documentary-style audio and detaches into a GoPro-compatible plant mic rig — two mounting solutions in one compact piece of kit for traveling filmmakers.
- Boom + plant mic ready: Standard 1/4"-20 and 3/8" thread mounts for boom poles; detachable GoPro-compatible hinge enables discreet plant mic setups on tables, plants, or any GoPro mount.
- Adjustable suspension: Dual sliding offset suspensions accommodate mics from 0.75" to 0.87" diameter, isolating rumble and handling noise from shaky field conditions.
- Compact metal construction: Metal body with thermoplastic suspensions — light enough to carry without adding bulk to a sound bag.
- Price point: At ~$39, it undercuts comparable shockmounts while adding the GoPro-mount plant-mic versatility most don't have.
CineD covered the ASM1 at launch, highlighting its affordability and the unusual GoPro-hinge design as a genuine option for solo field operators who need flexible placement without carrying separate gear.
Best for: Solo travel filmmakers and documentary shooters who double their shotgun mic as both a boom and a hidden plant mic. Skip it if: you're using a larger-body microphone over 0.87" in diameter — the suspension can't accommodate it. Runs ~$39 — check the current price before buying.
