VND QuickLock Filter, iPhone 18 Pro Max / 2-5 Stops II
$90
Our QuickLock™ Variable ND (VND) II filter takes everything you love about the I and makes it more robust, with a sealed optical path that keeps dust off the glass combined with a stronger locking mechanism. It gives you the precise exposure control you need to create a moody, cinematic feel with natural motion blur, smooth transitions, and soft depth. It brings a moody, cinematic feel to bright scenes, making your shots look more crafted and less digital. The low-profile Control Dial makes fine adjustments fast and tactile, while built-in stops prevent cross-polarization for a smoother, more cinematic result. Unlike most mobile VNDs, ours delivers contrast-rich footage with no color shift so skin tones stay natural and blacks stay deep. It features our QuickLock™ mount system for fast and secure mounting to Moment Cases. Please note these filters ONLY work with a Moment Case iPhone 15 and newer.
Our Review
Moment VND QuickLock Filter (iPhone 18 Pro Max) — cinematic footage that fits in your daypack
The gist: This filter turns your iPhone 18 Pro Max into a genuine travel-video tool, giving you controlled, motion-blurred footage in bright outdoor light without a separate camera setup.
- One-motion mounting: Clicks onto a Moment case instantly — practical when you're chasing changing light on a hike or city walk.
- 2-5 stops of adjustable ND: Covers the range most travel scenes need, from overcast trails to midday beach light, in a single filter.
- Aerospace-grade aluminum frame: Designed to take the knocks of being packed and unpacked from a travel bag daily.
- Hard-stop dial design: Prevents the cross-polarization X-pattern that ruins footage on cheaper variable NDs, so shots stay usable straight out of camera.
9to5mac's review of Moment's QuickLock VND filter system called it “the simplest, fastest, lightest, and most convenient VND filter ever made for an iPhone,” noting it attaches in “literally two seconds.”
Best for: nomads and travel creators filming handheld iPhone footage who want cinema-style color without extra gear. Skip it if: you don't shoot with a Moment case, since the QuickLock mount is required. Runs ~$90 — check the current price before buying.
